Frequently Asked Questions
Why does testing cost this much?
A comprehensive evaluation involves many hours of professional time, including interviews, record review, test administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and a feedback session. The goal is to provide an accurate diagnosis and meaningful recommendations—not just test results.
Will insurance reimburse me?
While I do not accept insurance, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. A superbill can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company.
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment options can be discussed during the initial consultation. My goal is to make the process as accessible as possible while maintaining the quality of care.
What if I’m not sure what type of evaluation I need?
That’s completely okay. During the initial consultation, we will discuss your concerns and determine the most appropriate type of evaluation for you or your child.
How soon can we schedule?
Because I do not require insurance authorization, appointments are typically available sooner than in many traditional settings.
Do you offer virtual or in-home evaluations?
Yes. Evaluations can be completed virtually or in the comfort of your home, depending on your needs. This flexibility often helps reduce anxiety and makes the process more convenient for both children and adults.
Is virtual testing as accurate as in-person testing?
When appropriate measures are selected, virtual testing can provide reliable and valid results. I carefully choose assessment tools that are supported for remote administration to ensure accuracy and clinical integrity.
What are the benefits of in-home or virtual testing?
Many individuals, especially children, perform more comfortably in familiar environments. In-home or virtual testing can reduce stress, improve engagement, and provide a more natural representation of functioning, while also offering convenience for busy families.
